Major updates are now live

We have worked for three years through thousands of changes and updates to create the versions of Zanys student and tutor apps that went live today. As you will see on the Google Play Store we expect these and future versions to transform how the entire world learns, and in particular to benefit children in lower and middle class families and talented teachers throughout the world with extra time to share what they know.

Major new update about to be released– watch out!

we started this company to change the world– starting with the process of finding a tutor for your children or yourself. We have been working at this through hundreds of updates and tens of thousands of revisions for two years. We are now getting ready to release our biggest update, and we can say with confidence and pride that what you are about to see will change the world. Be ready and update quickly. There will certainly be glitches that will take time and more updates to work out, but the framework will be visible in the next update (that will be released in the next 24 hours).

One small request: when you find errors or suggested changes, please email us at zanyscs@gmail.com Please include any screenshots showing the errors or suggestions. We hire people who communicate with us and we look forward to hearing from you.

Upcoming changes

The next set of changes are our biggest ever, and will transform how students and teachers interact. Without divulging too much here, it will permit a student to immediately start working with a teacher, so there will be an immediate increase in the number of transactions that occur. Thanks for all the feedback. We are rolling this update out on the Zanys tutoring app (student and teacher) and after we work out the errors and bugs we will apply it to the therapy app, too.

Immediate Lesson Order Function is being added

We have now more than 13,000 users, and more than 90% of these are teachers.  We have identified a need to make the ordering process easier and quicker for students, since it is very difficult for a teacher to “sell” his or her services to a student who has never had a lesson with the teacher.

As a result, we are adding a quick $1 booking feature for students, that will permit the first teacher who is online to accept the teaching request. The process is modeled on ride sharing apps, with a student being the customer who calls the driver and all nearby drivers (in our case teachers) who are online will get a notification that a student wants to do a lesson. The first teacher to accept will get the lesson booked immediately.

Thanks for everyone’s support. This app is a real challenge, both for our developers and for the rest of us to figure out what processes work.

More updates and changes coming

We are making enormous updates to the app. Some of these changes are small, and in that case we offer a new version of the app more frequently. However, recent changes are more substantial, and respond to feedback we get from users. We recently added a horizontal bar on the teacher’s app. Now, we are adding a number of new features, and expect that update to be ready by the end of June 2019. We will post details here.

New features this week

We are getting ready to release updates this week to both the teacher and student version of Zanys app, and thanks to all the feedback we are getting we are trying (as quickly as possible) to add features and tools that have been requested. You will see a big change to the interface of the app in both versions, and for the first time teachers will be able to contact newly registered students as soon as they register, so you can quickly contact them and explain to them your background and why they should study with you.

Thanks for all the feedback, we are working as quickly as possible to update this app. We are amazed by how many people now use this– well over 10,000 at last check, amazing.

Zanys is hiring!

Did you ever think about working for a dynamic internet company based in the USA? Well if you are a teacher or student in our of our Zanys apps (tutoring app, lawyer app or therapist app) you might be EXACTLY what we are looking for as we expand.

Zanys ONLY hires from its existing userbase, since you are the people who know our business best. If you are interested in working for us (part time or full-time, from your home or here in the USA), send us an email with your credentials/CV (zanyscs@gmail.com).

This is a long term (multi-year) process of expanding, so if you don’t hear back from us right away, don’t lose hope, but please keep doing what you are already doing so well with our apps.

New teacher feature coming soon…

Thanks for the feedback– recently we have received some “good” complaints from teachers who are complaining that they are not getting enough (or any) contacts with students. That’s useful feedback. Rather than wait to hear from students, we realized that we need to give teachers a way to proactively contact new students.

As a result, in the next day or two we will unveil a new section in the chat screen (at the top) that lets teachers initiate converstions with newly registered students, to get their business before other teachers do that. We will offer a certain number of these contacts every day for free (probably 3), and offer additional contacts for a monthly fee (probably $3 per month). That way, teachers will be able to initiate the contacts with new students proactively, rather than rely completely on our internal algorithms to make the match for them. Nobody wants to wait very long to get new clients after all.

Thanks for the feedback– please keep it coming. We listen and we change the app based on what you tell us.

$1 per hour first lesson only

On May 22, 2019, Zanys released version 5.9 of our student app. In addition to being a major upgrade that fixed many small bugs, the app and business model continues to evolve as we get more users (our user count is doubling almost every month and we now have users from nearly every country in the world). Thanks to the feedback we have received, we have added new functions, including the ability for the student to initiate the lesson (called “book the lesson”) and a $1 per hour fee for the initial lesson only, so it works as a test lesson (tips are always permitted, and after the first lesson the price reverts to $6 per lesson/hour, plus a small fee added to pay Zanys).

Thanks for the feedback and all the effort to our users. This is changing how people everywhere learn, and you are on the cutting edge of how it’s happening!
